IR Blasters

Posted this at the end of another thread and got no resopnses so I thaught I'd try here. I currently have a pvr-150 with the hauppage remote. I have found I can get my hands on an hvr-1600 for a really good price. This would give me 3 Tuners, I will hook up the digital tuner to my STB and the two analog tuners up directly to the cable. (This should work, I think) My question is, will I need a second IR blaster and remote to controll the HVR-1600 or can I just use the one I have with my PVR-150 to do the job for all 3 tuners?

First, how many STB are we talking about?

If it's just 1 STB, I'd do this:
Dig Tuner -> Direct to Cable
Analog 1 -> Direct to Cable
Analog 2 -> STB

Reason? The STB is probably giving you more channels than Analog. The Dig Tuner may (depending on area) provide more channels than Analog also, it'll definitely give better quality.

This maximizes channel quality and quantity.

Of course, it depends on your setup.

Now, for IR Blasting? You only need a blaster for each STB, so if you only have 1 STB, then 1 blaster is fine.
