Can not rescan for new channels

I have been using GBPRV for a year or so but have just installed it on my "new" :o home PC (old DELL!) and have now started to ahve an odd issue.

I successfully tuned most of the UK Freeview channels using my Nova-T usb stick but now want to try and get the "missing" channels - like Film4.

When I run the config to try and tune I just get stength and quality of 0. However, the WinTV app works fine and the channels that were tuned in work fine (at least I can record them - live TV does not work but that is another issue!).

Great program and I would not be without it.

It looks like its failing to start the device for some reason. Have you tried rebooting, and making sure nothing else is using the device?

It is waiting to record at the moment so I will try tomorrow - it could well be to do with the fact it has been hibernating for a couple of days rather than been switched off.

I'd make sure it is recording - check for growing filesize and not just the green tray icon.

I have the occasional problem with my nova-t-500 - (PCI card, but really a USB tuner with a USB interface to PCI) and it seems the driver fails to respond after hibernate. Although for me it seems after around three weeks before it dies.

Hmm - rebooted and still not happy. Have deleted and installed the driver and no change. Little odd. Still recording fine though. Anyone any other suggestion as to what could be causing it to fail.

tick ignore PMT CRC errors during scan under config -> capture sources -> edit -> digital recording settings -> bda advanced settings ???

Not sure exactly what it does, but it has resolved missing C4 channels for me in the past.

I also noticed that some of the UK channels have been moved around a bit recently and I couldn;t get GBPVR to rescan the modified channels without comletely deleting the capture devices and starting again (make sure you export all your recordings first tho, like I didn't)
