In the GB-PVR listings, some of the titles seem to wrap around on themselves, or maybe it isn't updating when I scroll horizontally? See the attached. Let me know if you've seen it before. It goes away if I click on it once. But, if I scroll over to new times, or down to different channels, it may show up in other places.

It's probably EPG data causing that. Most likely that channel listed twice? Since it seems to be different programs on that channel

on mine it's corrupt / incorret epg data, like it says one show runs 3 - 4pm, while the following show somehow also starts at 3.30pm...

Okay... I agree that could be a possibility - corrupt EPG data - but if it was that, why would it correct itself and display appropriately after I clicked on that cell/timeslot? I'm guessing if the base data was corrupt (or populated with 2 sets of information for a given timeslot), it would always display that way.

But, Fuzzweed - you say that this happens to you occasionally, and it is bad EPG data?

I can;t find anything at the moment, but i'd say it happened quite often. if I look at the show info for an over lapping show it will say it's sceduled 4pm - 5pm, and if I look at the next show it wall give a start time of of 4.30 for example. Overlapping epg data = overlapping writing Smile
It's normally the crappy poverty chanels that do it so I assume they just don;t check their EPG data before broadcasting it.

I'm pretty sure its just bad data. It has been every other time we've investigated that same symptom in the past. GB-PVR draws the selected cell last, overwriting any overlap in the underlaying grid.

that's usually changes in epg data, the underlying show is original one, the overlap is new changed epg data...
i usually just select 'complete epg reload' in config or:
pvrx2 -deletependingrecurring and pvrx2 -EmptyEPGonly in batches to make sure only newest data is used...

haven't seen it since...

I have had this several times and found in a thread somewhere in this forum to delete or rename the gbpvr.db3 file in the gbpvr installation directory and create a new one. This is pretty drastic as you have to go through a complete setup of your tuners and channels but it is the only way I have found to get rid of the corruption in the database. You will also loose any recoredings you have made but they are still playable if you move them to the video library directory. These are the steps I use:

1. Exit PVRX2 if it is running
2. Stop the recording service
3. Rename gbpvr.db3 to gbpvr.db3.old
4. Restart the recording service
5. Reconfigure tuners and import EPG data
6. Start PVRX2

Probably a bit late but would clicking the Empty EPG button in the config app do the same thing?

Yep, thats all you'd need to do.
