Hi,
Recently something changed with the freeview/DVB-t transmitter on Rowridge and since then I've had to retune my digital TVs and this restored the channels.

However, I've come to do it on my GBPVR box and all of the channels are found, except BBC channels?

I can't believe it is the antenna as I've seen suggested elsewhere as it's a year old and has been working perfectly since, and still is with every other TV connected to it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Nick

If they changed a frequency, you might need to switch to 'all countries / all regions' instead of your specific region.

It looks like a couple of muxs have changed frequency...

All UK Freeview users will probably go through this during the next 4 years at some time or another. If you go to this site http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/postcodechecker/main/index and enter your postcode (tick the aerial installer check box), you can find out when it's your turn...

I live in Southampton, I've just finally managed to do a successful scan (sort of) and I did pick up the BBC channels, and the reception looks good, suggesting the problem is probably at your end.

Oops I just replied to the other thread first without seeing this one. I'll try the all regions trick first as I can't see MUX1 at all (probably others) in Southampton and I normally have a very strong signal...

I'm using the communal aerial in my building, which is presumably quite good, and using an amplifier for that signal, so I'm not sure if me picking up the signal necessarily means that it's a strong signal.

I can supply any specific channel mappings you might need, it's not particularly hard to put them in the database manually.

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies. I've already got it set to 'all regions' and its making no difference Sad I don't think its an issue with connections as the signals been very strong, now its just gone for the BBC channels since they changed things. I've little idea of how GBPVR handles things but it appears to just not see or find it.

I could try the system elsewhere but its a fairly larger 4U rackmount server and a pita to move really. Need to get this sorted asap, espicially now the F1 is back on, missed all of it today because of the same issue with a Sony TV/PC thing where I work being a pain to tune in... sadly eventually it turned out the cable had been working its way out Tongue

If you oculd post these mappings, if they would sort the problem that would be great.

Have you tried Scanchannelsbda from http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=12082
It's not Hauppauge specific AFAIK, it just uses the BDA interface.
Let it run and see what it reports finding.

Hi,
Having watch that run, I did see the BBC channels on 578000, although it said actual frequency was 578166. I've already enabled the scan for +166 and -166 to no avail.

Strength was -15000 and quality was 100%. Will attempt to rescan with GBPVR. Does this help narrow down the cause of the problem?

Thanks
