I just got GB PVR working with my PVR250. The problem is that the Live TV feed starts to stutter after about 10 seconds of play and gets progressively worse. Changing the channel restarts the clock on the problem. I have tried changing the renderers and decoders in the configuration program and got no change. Streaming music works fine. I am using version 1.3.11 with no plugins.

Does anyone have any advice?

Set the logging level back to 'debug', then reproduce the problem and repost the logs and I'll see if anything stands out.

Done. The stuttering is now starting immediately. Also, now only one audio renderer makes the sound work correctly (SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio. The other audio renderers make the sound cut out after 1-2 seconds.

Neither of the two decoder you're using are common, and both have caused problems for people in the past, so I'd try other decoders. I also recommend people stick with the 'system default' audio renderer unless they're trying to use a secondary audio device in the machine.

I installed the decoders you recommended and it solved the stuttering, but the video quality is poor and slightly choppy. I can't use the EVR renderer - does that have something to do with it?

In response to your comment about the audio renderer - I still can't use the default setting. It works with the Audigy setting though, so it isn't a problem.

Pretty much I can suggest is trying other decoders and renderers then - though I have a suspicion its something do do with your audio renderer (something about your audio device or its drivers). I dont think I've come across any users in the past that couldnt use the 'system default' audio renderer.

For reasons unrelated to this problem I changed my non-default DPI setting (120) in XP SP3 back to the default (96). I can use any of the decoders or renderers with no problems.

Thank you for your help.
