I've been searching all afternoon and I can't find the info, so I'm posting. I've got a hvr 1600 pulling in digital TV. The other day I had my box offline to do some minor upgrades and hooked the antenna up directly to my TV and discovered there were a few new sub channels out there. I hooked my gbpvr box back up and did the whole digital channel mapping, pulling in the 2 new channels. I went to Schedules Direct and added them to my lineup. I updated my EPG which correctly pulled the channels. I checked my xml listings and the channels are listed in there. The channels also show in the Channels tab in config with the new numbers I assigned them. I cannot for the life of me get them to display in the TV Listings in the program though.

To sum it up:
I'm using xmltv to store lineups
I'm using Schedules Direct to get my lineups
I've mapped the digital signals to channels
I see the channels in the Channels tab
I do not get either of the new channels in GBPVR's TV Listings
I've empties and reloaded the EPG.

Any ideas? I feel like I'm missing something easy, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Do the channels have check marks in their "enable" boxes in both the tuner's channel listing (where you edit the tuner in the "capture sources" tab) and in the "Channels" tab (the check box is called "Favorites") in config?

I would consider that a Change in EPG sources, or a case for Fixing Channels.

But beware. you will need some help (I don't know how to do it yet) saving and then reusing some text files (I think Scan Cache file)

Basically the Batch file in the link will delete some tables and force the re-population of them. Unfortunately its not smart enough to do it seemlessly for Digital channels.

I'm in a different area, but it sounds like what you did should work.
All I do is get them added to the EPG, grab a new EPG, update EPG within GBPVR, go into config, map channels, new scan, match the new channels in the EPG with the newly found scanned channels and that's it.

Hrm....now xmltv is crashing. I haven't had a chance to check this new issue out, but I'm guessing it's related.

If not, ignore this post.

Start Config. Go to the "Plugins" tab. Click on the "TV Listings" in the "Menu and plugins" box. Click the "Settings" button. Click on the "Guides" tab.

If you have more than one guide listed, you will have to repeat the following for each one. Click on the guide name. Click the "Edit..." button. Scroll to the bottom of the list.

For each new station, repeat the following. Click on the new station. Click the up arrow in the "Channel postion" box until the station is in the position you desire. Click the box to the left of the station to make sure it has a check mark. When you have done all the new stations in this guide, click the "OK" button.

When you done all your guides, click the "OK" button. Then, click the "OK" button again to save all your Config changes.

It sounds like more work than it is. Also, if you are like me, you will forget this in a couple of months and be unable to figure out how to get some other new stations to show up. Then, you will remember this & bang yourself on the head. Smile

One more thing, if you have multiple guides and some of them have only a few stations, you can click the check mark next to the new stations & hit the "OK" button. Then, hit the "Edit..." button again and the new stations will have moved up past all the unselected stations. That way, you won't have to scoll up as much.
