So close....!!

Spent 3 days trying to get Media Portal working, then saw this release that supported my nova-t dvbt card, so thought i'd give it a go - detected my card and tuned in a load of channels straight away! Excellent i thought..

I have managed to tune in the channels in the config, but whenever i try to select Live TV from the main programme, i get the following message:

Error: Unable to load DLL (hcwIRblast.dll).

I'm using the Hauppauge 45 key remote that came with the nova-t, and it works fine selecting options etc in the GB-PVR, just dies when it gets to Live TV.
Tried changing to no remote and got:
Channel tuning information not known - when selecting Live TV (although all channels are tuned in)

I've tried looking thru the forums/ googling but to no avail...

I'm using the latest release (GBPVR0908)

WHen you edit the capture source, what is your "channel changer" set to? It should be set to "Null channel changer". It sounds like you've set it to the Hauppauge IR Blaster.

ah - thought i had to set it to the hauppauge remote - changing to none stops error messages, but i've just realised that GBPVR only appears to be tuning into C55 here - basically the music channels and radio stations.

WinTV2000 tunes everything in ok so i'll keep playing around with the config to see if it drops more in.

Failing that, is it possible to manually add channels? if so i'm not sure where some of the channel setup comes from e.g.

The hits - C55,746000,0,08:21664:101:102:The Hits

Where does the 101 & 102 come from? - i've got all the other info apart from them.

If the scan isnt finding all the stations you'd expect, you may need to adjust frequncies listed in your transponder file (in c:\progam files\devnz\gbpvr\bda\DVB-T). Some cards seem better than others at locking on to frequncies with a larger offset. I did have to change a couple of values in the Crystal Palace file for another Nova-T user so that he could tune all his channels.

Sub - just like to say thank you very much!
checked the dvbt settings for my area - remember seeing somewhere that they were out by 166Mhz so changed the file and voila all tuned in.
Recording some progs now to see if i can play them back

Thanks again.
