Okay, so I have been having this problem for a while but I thought it was because the client was so underpowered.

Yesterday I built a new client, dual core processor and all. The problem persists.

My client machine has a fresh build of xp, .net 2.0 sp1, cccp codecs, and coreavc. Newest version of GBPVR on server and client, and all the survival guide tweaks on the client but NOT the server(just thought of that). Windows Update took .net to 3.5 i believe.

When playing HD LiveTV everything works just fine. When attempting to play SD livetv it is crazy skippy.

I have included examples, images of the setup, and a video of the choppiness.

Hopefully everything needed.

After a very annoying run in with subtitles, I have uninstalled cccp and installed the latest k-lite.

Still having problems though, should I be adjusting things on the server side or client side?

im guessing your sd tv is mpeg and your hd stuff is ts
try changing to streaming (just for testing) and see if sd plays any better
is it only live tv that does it ?
what happens if you play a recorded file

Recorded files play fine.

Changing it to Streaming cleared up the choppiness. After 10 sec of playback it froze on me.

I want to do more testing on that because I think a restart may fix the locking up behavior. Unfortunately the wife has taken it over for American idol.

Mpeg and Ts is correct, is this a known problem?

I use file share on the client and can't use SD live tv either. I don't really need it, but it does not work. HD does though. The client is very picky for me. It does fine for recorded shows though which is my biggest need.
