I want to use my PVR-150 with the Dish TR-40 converter box and can not figure out how to get it to change the channels. Has anyone set this up? I can not find any codes that work with it. Is there any third party software that will work with it. Thanks.

you might try HIP if it has a plugin for the hauppauge blasters...you need a program that can 'learn' ir signals from the remote that came with the dish box...
on the off chance HP have updated their drivers to include this box, you might also try an upgrade of the irblast program as they add boxes to it all the time...
i remember seeing a 'learn' functionality in the irblaster .ini but i think it was for mce remotes thta came with mce kits..

The TR-40 is one of two boxes with built in timers. You could have it change it's own channels and set the PVR-150 to record the line input at the appropriate times.

You would, of course, have to use the manual recording method since an EPG (electronic programming guide) won't work under those conditions.

I thought the code for the TR-40 was the same as the Dish satellite receivers in case you didn't think to try them.

I don't think HIP works with any non-USB Hauppauge blaster. If you can't get the Hauppauge software to work with the blaster, you need a new blaster. USB-UIRT works well, so do most MCE remotes that come with blasters.
