Sound drops off about 30 sec into recording or live TV

Hello,

I upgraded my Microsoft Vista computer recently, and I'm using the latest GBPVR and Hauppaugh's 950Q. The system records nicely, but when I play it back, the sound drops off about 30 seconds into the recording. The same symptoms happen during Live TV. Forwarding and rewinding does not bring back the sound. If I play back the recording outside of GBPVR on Microsoft's Media Center, the sound is fine. I've tried the various combinations for audio decoder & renderer, but it did not make a difference. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Its most likely the audio decoder you're using. Mainconcept decoders (supplied by Hauppauge) will only give 30 seconds of AC3 audio from unauthorised applications. The various combinations you tried probably werent good. You may need to install additional decoders.
