What would be the best tuner I can purchase that includes a remote that works with GBPVR without any hastle?

Must be PCI-Express
Use both Cox cable unencrypted channels, over the air, local, and free HD

Thank you!

Assuming you wanted to only use one of the above options at a time, i would get the Hauppage HVR 2250, it is a duel tuner that can record Free and clear QAM, Analog Cable, and OTA digital, it will only be able to use either the cable or OTA one at a time, as there is only one input. If you get the MCE version you will get an MCE remore and and ir receiver that should work in GBPVR nicely (I only say should as i dont have one so i havent tested it, but have an MCE remote and it works fine in GBPVR)

Here is a link to the card

If you don't need analog, and only need a single tuner, I use and recommend the HVR-1250. That said, I frequently wish I'd just ponied up the cash for the dual-tuner 2250.

Most Hauppauge devices come in two flavors: one with a Hauppauge remote that uses an IR receiver that connects directly to the card, and one with an MCE remote that uses a USB IR receiver. GB-PVR works well with either one, though I confess I use a Gyration airmouse MCE remote instead.

If you mean that literally, that you want to tune digital cable AND channels from an OTA antenna, you'll need two discreet tuners. The two use different tuning spaces and can't be used simultaneously on the same tuner (neverminding the fact that there's no way to get both signals into the tuner without interference).

However I'm not sure why you'd need to do that since the one thing cable companies have to provide on ClearQAM is all the local channels, in HD if they're broadcast that way.

What's your definition of "Plug & Play"? There is a good bid of configuration required to get digital TV running.
