Zero-length recordings

This problem has crept in under my radar - didn't notice after my recent complete re-install as it needed two simultaneous recordings before it manifested itself.

One tuner - the Compro Videomate S350 - is producing zero-length recordings, the other, the Hauppauge HVR4000, works fine.

Debug level log from GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log shows this:

I've reinstalled the drivers a couple of times, all to no avail.

I know it worked before the re-install. I've also re-registered the filters and no filter errors show up. I did try re-installing GBPVR but it kept rolling back with an error - not sure where to find out why and it would be nice to fix that - but since the other tuner works fine, I assume this is not a general but a tuner-specific error. Bad assumption? What else should I try?

PS: After a bit more testing, I find the problem is definitely the Compro. I tried switching the order of the two tuners and recording SD and HD, but everything results in the same problem: zero-length recordings.

I've had this with teh S350 and am trying to reorganise my brain cells to remember what it was... Hopefully today :mad:

Working with live TV? I seem to recall it does.

Yes it works with Live TV - really weird. Am re-tuning the card to see if that works...

OK: cracked it.

In the Advanced BDA settings for the Compro Videomate - enable Ignore PMT CRC errors always. Now it's recording. Phew.

After a quick googling to confirm it (*hint*hint*:p) I'd say in the BDA Capture Source configuration screen.

I did google and searched help,wiki, and forum.
I have since found out that the "enable ignore PMT CRC errors always" is not an option with the current release. Which leaves me with a problem of unreliable recordings when using Videomate S350 with GBPVR.
If I set up with Hauppauge Wintv Nova S plus cards I have no problem
