Help for dvb7700/DIB7700 DTV tuner

I just received a laptop with this tuner installed and I cannot get it to work. I have vista business installed. Support told me that they do not support GB-PVR.

I am unsure if GB-PVR supports the hardware?
I installed but cannot find my hardware listed in the tuning assistant.

Can anyone please guide me through how to get it working.

I have vista 32bit Business 3GbRam
Device manager reports the hardware as dvb7700
The driver states DIB7700 and all working ok.

It is manufactured by Dibcom

I dont know very much about this family of devices. We might be able to get it working by adding a section to the bda.ini file though.

Try running filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr directory, then post the filtercheck.log and I'll tell you what that section would be.

I have pasted the above into the dba.ini in the GBPVR folder

'DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner' does not show up in the tuning assistant list. Should I be doing something different?

You dont need to use the tuning assistant. Its for analog cards, and even then its not used by the application (its just a utility used to help European users find what frequencies their channels are on if the broadcaster is using non-standard frequencies)

You need to setup your capture source in the config app, and do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step to scan for channels.

Can you run filtercheck.exe again, and zip and attach the filtercheck.log? Dont post the contents (since it can trim trailing spaces etc). I need to see the actual file.
