Sub, just tested the new version and it doesn´t appears to send sat positions to MDAPI filter by default.

Is thera a place that I can edit to manually "show" the parameter to GBPVR? Just like the first idea you had on the topic http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=57?

Thanks.

EDIT: Added the logs.

As far as I can tell I'm setting it in the TP82 structure sent to the mdapifilter. Its not currently logged anywhere though, so you cant double check it unless N3XT is logging it. I could look at adding logging so you can see what its being set to.

You could try creating a c:\temp directory, and setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2, then start live tv, and change channels a couple of times then zip and post the c:\temp\psi.log, then delete the registry setting. This log might give some clues.

Here are the logs, and the answer I got from n3xt minutes ago (I sent hom the logs from n3xt):

Quote:Yes, N3XT is recognizing GBPVR but GBPVR is not setting the sat position correctly. You can tell by this line:

Code:
19:32:40 [core.ecm] Selecting Nagra2:1801, pri=-6 sat=0(360.0) tpfreq=708

It should read sat=2990 if you are aimed at Amazonas.

I've added a bit more logging. Please apply the patch, attempt to watch a couple of live tv channels, then post the psi.log again.

Here are the logs.

Replaced the psiparser.ax and unregistered then registered again (with regsvr32)

What exactly is the Common Interface option on "Digital Source Configuration"?
I´ve choosen "Multidec"

Also sent the n3xt logs. It shows that GBPVR sent two different sat positions between channels change (but i´m not sure if that´s a usefull information):

Code:
21:04:19 [core.ecm] Selecting Nagra2:1801, pri=-6 sat=0(360.0) tpfreq=708

Code:
21:04:36 [core.ecm] Selecting Nagra2:1801, pri=-6 sat=44555(-4095.5) tpfreq=708

Its possible the first channel change hadnt received the satellite position in the stream before it asked mdapifilter to decode the specific channel, explaining the first 0.

For the second one, the app thought it was telling mdapifilter that the position was 2990:
Quote:21:04:35.546 satellite position was set to 2990
I encoded the satellite position into the TP82 buffer the way I interpretted the author's PM, but at the time I could see that the description wasnt very detailed and there was room for misinterpretation, and at the time I send the author back another PM to clarify, but I havnt heard back yet. From that output in the N3XT log, it sounds like they're expecting it encoded in the buffer in a slightly different way. Hopefully I hear back from him soon. It should be an easy change if I can work out the correct way to pass the data in the buffer.

Multidec is what you want for you setup.

'Common Interface' is for DVB cards with a CI interface (ie, slot on the back), which you insert a CAM into. The back on the CAM has a small slot for a smartcard

Pictures of these various parts to help you form a mental image:

Here is a better picture, which shows it all connected (even though the smartcard is inserted backwards):

Thanks for the info.

Now that GBPVR supports it, I´ll start some research about CAMs, maybe if I get one I won´t need to mess with N3xT, and will be able to use it the "legal" way.

I just wanted to connect my box direct to the dish, instead of depend of a erratic STB/IR Blaster, but seen I´m already causing much problems with what I thought would be an easier solution. Rolleyes

BTW, n3xt told me he have just replied your message. Big Grin
