Awesome plugin but I have a request:

Can you make it so it autoloads the weather when PVRX2 loads? It is kinda annoying to have to wait while it refreshes when I click on it. It takes about a minute because I assume its downloading all the profiles.

Actually I would prefer a user configurable setting as I would prefer to only have it initially update when I clicked on the update button & then updated after every xx minutes as set in config

I kinda like it the way it is now to be honest. Meaning, if I am accessing the plugin, its to get the latest weather info. Smile

Jaggy's idea to make it an option would allow your way to work Snooze.

Issue for me is I just do a quick check so I know the weather tomorrow and I'm not super patient :-D

It just occurred to me that this would move the delay from when you first call up the Weather plugin to when you start up PVRX2. That already takes longer than I want. I would only be in favor of this if you could have PVRX2 spawn another process to get the weather data without delaying how long it takes for PVRX2 to start up.

How about initially getting only the data for the Current, Overview, and Forecast screens when you start up Weather plugin. That information, if it can be obtained separately from the Radar and Satellite data, should probably come back pretty quickly. Then, if you can simultaneously have another process get the Radar and Satellite information, I think we would be back to the responsiveness of Weather1 while still getting the much greater information from Weather2.

Of course, it's always easier for someone who doesn't have to actually implement the features, to come up with things to do.

It already spawns a separate thread to do the refreshing. The popup is shown if it needs to refresh when you start the plugin because the refresh is in a thread, and then PVRX2 will try to update the screen, and there is a possibility there will be no data there to update the screen with.

I just don't do it at PVRX2 startup because some people may not want this to happen. I think I intended to add this option, I just forgot to put it in Smile

Plus, when it auto refreshes, a popup doesn't show. It's done in the background with its own thread.

Only for a couple days; an emergency. Be back in Afghanistan tomorrow so tweeking things for the WAF and then back on the way.

And adding that option would be great; thanks.
