what extensions do the movies have?

Using DVDShrink I'd guess he is either ISO (which of course he would need daemon tools or StarPort or some other CD/DVD emulator) or mostly like VIDEO_TS on the hard drive.

I thought you need MyVideos or some other plugin for file based (VOB) DVDs on the hard drive.
