I've got a HDHomeRun running the latest 20090830 firmware and GBPVR 1.4.7 on a fresh install of Windows 7 (32bit). Windows Firewall is off. I run a channel scan in the HDHomeRun software and pick up 44 channels, and the tuner light blinks on the front of the HDHomeRun while the scan is in progress. I then configure a tuner in GBPVR config and attempt to scan for channels, but get no channels, and no indication that GBPVR is even communicating with the HDHomeRun. Any ideas?

Logs are attached, thanks in advance!

It's scanning channels and finding a signal but never locking onto the signal. This usually happens when it is scanning an analog channel. Try setting a custom range that includes known unencrypted channels.

I have set the custom range to Default Frequencies channels 71-116 but still get nothing. I know my unencrypted digital channels should start at 70 but it still seems to be doing the same thing. I also noticed that it is attempting to scan by channel number, not by frequency. Is this the appropriate setting for the HDHomeRun? If not, how do I change it?

With 1.4.7, you can scan by channels for all tuners. Zip and post your config logs showing the 71-116 scan. Also, you did set the HDHomeRun to "GBPVR" and not "ATSC/Remap" correct?

It doesn't seem to be finding any signal. Can you Do the start the HDHomeRun Config (GUI), select the tuner that you want to scan, then start GB-PVR and start a scan. Watch the GUI to see if it changes channels. If it doesn't, there is something blocking communication between GB-PVR and the HDHomeRun.

Odd. I can scan in GBPVR with tuner0 and see no change in the HDHomeRun Config program, and it is scanning by channel number in GBPVR. If I switch the capture source to tuner1 in GBPVR and scan while watching the HDHR Config, not only does it scan and pick up a signal, but it scans by frequency in GBPVR. Also, it only scans 9 frequencies in GBPVR on tuner1, but returns more like 34 channels. So that's progress, but I never got a zip code prompt from GBPVR...all the channels are listed as Unknown.

Software aside, is it possible that a bad splitter or cable could be causing this problem?

Perhaps some more logs would be in order.
