Right to left support

Hi,
Is there any way to configure GBPVR to show right to left content (Hebrew) as excepted ? I mean align to right and not align to left.
I mean to the EPG data for a specific TV program etc'...

There is nothing built in for doing this, and not something I test. You might be able cobble something together by making your own skin though.

Thanks, but I think that I represent many of people who need this feature of "right to left" support (align to right).
Is there any configuration that I can change in a given skin (community) so it will be so ?
Or should I ask it as a future request for a global GBPVR feature ?

I will see what I can do for you with the Community skin. Just to clarify, you want the selected show detail description to be right-aligned, rather than left aligned? I think that is possible.
What I don't see a way to do is to make the show listings in the grid right-aligned.

Thanks johnsonx42, whatever you can will be better than the status now, I will be waiting for this kind of skin

Also, I personally think that this issue should be a core feature of the product as like any other product who supports right to left languages (Media Portal, VMC, Etc...).

ok, here is a quick stab at it. I'm really not sure if this is at all what you're looking for. Assuming you already have Community Skin SD 4.0.4 installed, then the attached skin.xml goes in C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Skin2\Community-SD\TV Guide (make a backup of the existing skin.xml first)

If I'm on the right track, I could also put the channels on the right side if you would like. I unfortunately see no way to change anything about the actual program listings; I can give the entire listings box a position, size, and set the number of rows and the color, but beyond that the content seems to come from within PVRX2. I may be missing something of course, I know just enough about skinning to be dangerous.

Yes! , thanks, this did align the program description (the bottom frame) to the right , even though the "." and the "(" and ")" are not on the right position because align to right only is not enough, you have to set the direction of the text as "right to left", like in MS-Word or in normal HTML page.
But you're on the right direction and it starts to look great !!
Can you add it to the other places where text exists ?
And also set the dir to rtl ?

I'm afraid setting the text direction is beyond what I can do with a simple skin change, PVRX2 itself would have to support that (ie, the various skinning files just tell PVRX2 what to draw, but PVRX2 still has to have been programmed to do it in the first place). Sub has already said he's got nothing built-in for RtL text.

So you'll need to petition sub for that support, in the Wishlist. If sub were to add such support, it would still require at least some skin changes to correct the text alignments (ie, sub would support the text direction globally, the skin devs would make it look pretty).

I'm willing to make the needed changes/additions to Community Skin 4, at least on the key screens. It would ultimately consist of a set of alternate RtL skin.xml layout files for the key areas, and a menu item in the Skin Plugin to select and copy in the RtL layouts (exactly as is already done for selecting the tv guide layout, video library layout, etc).

There's little point in me doing any further work though until & unless sub adds the needed support to PVRX2.
