I downloaded the newest version (.908 or .980...whatever it is). Recordings seem to work fine but I have no Live TV. Screen is black and no audio. I also do not see any live TV files, but I may be looking in the wrong spot. I am using Overlay and got the newest NativeUtilities.dll. Can anyone help??!!

Try using VRM9 if you are not using that configuration currently. I know this does it for me. If I try to use VRM7 or overlay manager it will not work.
Or I have had to switch codecs at other times to get it working.

VMR9 and VMR7 are even worse...not only is the screen black and no audio, but no OSD either. But these have never worked for me...do I need something else for them to work?

The previous verson(s) of GBPVR have worked fine...and I did not change any settings from the last version to this one.

Thanks for the help!!

Dumb question, but what OS are you using.

I'm using the same build that you are, but for some reason on my XP box GB-PVR will only show Live TV when I am running as an admnistrator. If I am using a normal account, I get a black screen and no audio. Recordings work fine and when I use WinTV2000 as my normal user, I get live TV

If you disable the 'live preview mode' setting on the config app, then the livetv should behave as it did in previous releases.

Sub, yer back!!

I tried disabling Live TV mode (that got my live tv files back) but still a black screen with no audio. I verified, the live tv files do indeed have valid video and audio. I also verified that setting up a recording works...I can either watch it later or watch it while it records. I've tried getting to live TV through Live TV menu item and the TV guide.

Would logs help? I do not see anything interesting in them. But I am not the expert either.

What card type do you have, and are you using composite, svideo or tuner?
