I've started working on a program to check syntax to help out those with having errors loading mvpmcx2 from the mvpmc share provide more information. To use it in the top left edit box enter the IP of your NMT or the hostname if you have a hard disk in the PCH

Some default hostnames are

PCH-A100
PCH-A110
HDEYESHOT (EGreat)

After this your PC should try to connect to your NMT to gather more information to help solve some common problems.

Then hit Check and cut and paste the resulting text into your support post.

Here is and updated NMTCheck.exe to provide more info and hopefully reduce a few more support posts.

- Dialog has text explaining input IP address
- Reads/displays the config.xml node for the MAC address.
- Read/displays the NMT related config.xml setting
- Connect to the GBPVR Web Server on localhost The follow message actually indicates success The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Here is an update for NMT Syntax Check utility to looks for both GBPVR and NPVR settings

Change log

- shows NPVR config.xml settings for the NMT MAC address
- verifies config.xml for the web server being enabled on port 8866
- tests web server on port 8866

Here is a minor update to correctly determine the Firmware version information on SD and HD setups.

Just a quick note, if you change the webserver port to anything other than 8866 for NPVR, the NPVR interface comes up on an nmt, but trying to play anything gives a blank screen that eventually times out, and it takes you days to work out why :o

As I've written before, don't struggle with installation for more than an hour. If you upload your logs and the NMT syntax check output, I can usually straighten you out right away.

I made a minor update to handle cases where NPVR is uninstalled but the NPVR Registry settings are left behind. The current binary will now always be in the first post.
