Been playing for a couple of days and very impressed :-)

One thing I can't figure out - how do I search for titles that have a hyphen in them? (eg X-Files, Stargate SG-1, etc)
Looks like the hyphen is stripped out as a separator, but then I don't get any hits back from TVDB.

If running manually (i.e. not batch mode from command line), you might try overriding the title and place a pipe '|' between series name and episode name.

So, for example, if your video was c:\Movies\The X-Files - Darkness Falls.mpg, the title would come up as "The X-Files - Darkness Falls", override to "The X-Files | Darkness Falls", and you should get a direct hit on the series/episode.

Yup, that works.

However, my file name is in the format
E:\TV series\The X-Files\Season 01\The X-Files.S01E20.Darkness Falls.avi

Is there a way around this, or am I going to have to rename them?

The same thing applies to "The X-Files.S01E20.Darkness Falls.avi"
Put the pipe between series and episode number like:
"The X-Files | S01E20" that works just as well as episode name.

That kind of works in this version, but it tends to drop the '-' out if X-Files. You specifically have to override the title. Next version of WizWebHelper will treat that condition a little better and have a better hit ratio on those types of titles.

Yup - went to 'X Files' and failed to match. I ended up using BulkRenameUtility to change the files names, grabbed the metadata, then renamed everything back again.

Would it be possible to have an 'overrides' file for batch processing? The program could then automatically replace problem names for look-up, and handle invalid characters in names like 'NCIS: Los Angeles'

Yes, I would like this as well! As I suggested in another thread.

As I always download files, I am stuck with the filenames these have. Mostly it works OK but sometimes there is no hits from thetvdb because the show is listed with a different name. Like (from my other thread) castle.2009 is named as Castle (2009) and therefor there is no hit.
But this is the case in other shows as well. Some has a (US) added in the db, others is named with characters that is avoided in filenames: "Agatha Christie's..." As the file names drop the " ' " there is no hit from thetvdb.

So if the commandline app searched a file for overrides, that would help a lot.
