I just d'loaded latest DVD2MPEG plugin, as well as the required DVDDecrypter, BeSweet & MPlex(part of Cutterman). I ran CONFIG.exe and entered all the paths for the above utils. Then tried to rip my first DVD. It generated a .MPG file that has the complete video, but audio is silent or missing.

I did d'load the latest of all the above utils. Should I be using older versions?

I have attached the DVD2MPEG.log file. Any ideas?

TIA!

Do the DVD's have english language audio tracks? By default that is what the plug-in looks for. If you want to use a differnet language you need to set it in the config screen.

I live in the US, so this DVD has only English audio - as far as I know. I can play it on my PC'd DVD drive with WinDVD no problem.

I did attach the log file in my first message, but I guess the attachment feature doesn't work on this forum is is more involved that just clicking on the Browse button and selecting a file? Anyway, I am pasting my latest .log file directly into this reply...,

Thanks!

Oh, and more more problem as I watched my "silent" movie converted by DVD2MPEG: the video seems like it is wide screen, yet displaying in a 4:3 region, so I'm not seeing the entire image. How does one control the aspect ratio? Can it be fully automated, or does one have to configure something before each rip (DVDDecrypter?)?

Thanks!

You might want to select the leave temporary files when done option and then try manually executing the mplex command (which you can find in the log file) to see what error messages mplex spits out. These are not captured in the plug-in log file at the moment and they are often important in figuring out what went wrong.

I ran MPlex manually from a command line and pasted the output below. I tend to think the missing audio problem is related to BeSweet, not MPLex. I say this because the AUDIO.MP2 is only 5KB when MPlex starts its processing! I assume this should be the audio for my nearly 120 min DVD movie, no?

Plus, didn't BeSweet's log seem to indicate audio errors? See prior replies...

Thanks for all your help!
