can't seem to pick up many channels on ny HVR-1300 - usb nova-t stick shows much more from the same aerial amp/splitter.

the hauppauge scanner picks them up (below) as does windows media center. if i enter 801834kHz in a manual scan, the config app stops responding for awhile and goes nowhere..

attached config.log - appreciate help..

Do a scan, then post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Try enabling the 'explicitly scan DVB-T Offset frequencies' setting on the Misc tab.

Offsets are only used in the UK and Australia. Most devices auto detect and use the offsets, but there are few devices that dont.

well, i thought it had workd as could map channels but got 0 length recordings and can't watch live tv via this card (i have 3 tuners so only just noticed it can't get a signal). seems to pic up 60% of channels but can't use them - is like no signal.

strange though, as windows media center can pick up all the channels from that card.

have done a scan as above and attached (removed bda cache files first) - this only seems to affect the hvr-1300, nova-t stick is fine.

many thanks!

There isnt any obvious problem in your logs. All I can really suggest is checking that its using the frequencies you expect in your area. If its not, and its picking up weaker signals from near-by areas, then we'll have to work out why, or make sure your selected .ini scanning file has the correct frequencies.
