Hi, i have moved to Canada, i used to be in the UK with SKY, used a XMLTV gui with RadioTimes (was free).

However i am now looking at the Hauppuage 1950 unit AND the HDPVR for Hi-Def stuff.

So if i link the 1950 what EPG can i use thats good, built in or would the XMLTV still be good for that (liked it, never really failed in the years i used it).

I will be getting Satellite as well (so the HDPVR will do that).
Many Thanks
Ashley

Scroll up to the mc2xml section in this link. The link took me to the SchedulesDirect section, it might do the same in your browser. SchedulesDirect is about 20 USD per year, mc2xml is free. I always try the free solutions before the pay solutions.

The link was supposed to go to the mc2xml...

I think it's worth noting once again, that this is not actually free.

You are breaking the terms of use by Microsoft when you use this program to get into their listing server. The content is free to Media Center users, but only Media Center Users.

And mc2xml is actually donation-ware...

I think all new users in the US and Canada start with Schedules Direct go through the trial. During the trial look at alternatives, but $20 is money well spent and saves you work too.

Schedules Direct is well worth the $20 a year. I've been using it since the transition from Zap2it and haven't had any problems for analog and digital lineups in my area.

Also when my Schedules Direct comes up for renewal, its a handy reminder to drop a few dollars in the GBPVR pot (edit: Martin, is there a MVPMCX2 pot I could be sharing my not so vast wealth with? Sorry to hijack the thread).
Using GB-PVR since December 2005

fering, when you donate to GBPVR mentioning to sub you like the PCH support is good enough for me. His web hosting in Canada keeps the money here too (and it is sort of on-topic).

No,there is no analog guide broadcast and the digital guide isn't available. In Canada you can get a few hours of guide on ATSC channels but I'm afraid that's it.
