Hi sub!

I have a wish for GB-PVR:

Could you enable something like a combined Server/Client per PC? In detail i mean something like this:

You have a GB-PVR Server with builtin TV Cards for recording.

The Client can access the server an record from it's shared EPG (like now via Stream/File Share). But! LiveTV shouldn't only be streamed via LAN or fileshare. It should be possible to integrate a tv-card for it's own in the GB-PVR client. Just for watching live tv or teletext, NOT for recording.

This could be a solution for one or two problems within my network. Big Grin

Nice, this is in fact what I need the most too.
I subscribe.

My dream in effect would be to abandon master/slave architectures and move towards a more advanced architecture.
What it would be nice is to have all HTPC acting as Master and able to store recordings, view live TV etc. Periodically, when a new recording has done or something new has been stored in recording directory o whatever place id demanded for storing files the HTPC involved wakes up the other to sync their local DB with new index to data. If one of the HTPCs fails you will loose only recording are stored there and not (like happened to me) all the recordings!

bump

More as before i need this feature. ;D Current setting is: 1 HomeServer, 4 WorkStations, 2 MediaCenters which are connected and running GB-PVR.

It would be great, if i could use the HomeServer as central recordingstation (configured within GB-PVR itself from every client) and thus using one TV Card within the Clients itself for watching TV to save the bandwith of the network and raise the picturequality itself (analog tv).
