No channels found

Hi - I just installed GBPVR today (looking for a good alternative to Media centre) I am running XP pro with a Leadtek Winfast DTV 1000T tuner card. everything seems OK apart from when I do the channel scan, no channels are found. I do not think it is anything specific to GBPVR as i installed the Winfast PVR 2 software and the same thing happens.

I know the problem is not with the tuner or drivers as MythTV running on Linux works OK mmm?

Hope someone can help as i have run out of ideas.

Try doing a scan, then post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Those logs look fine, with no errors, but the device never locks onto any signal. I'd try do an all regions scan, incase the frequencies are not correct for you error. I'd also try enabling the 166KHz offset scanning, since the UK uses these and your device might not do it automatically.

I seems like the signal is not present or the tuner not functioning correctly but i know this is not the case as i said before it works fine with MythTV on Linux Using the Winter hill transmitter.

The manufacturers software Winfast PVR 2 will not find any channels either and this used to work OK. So it seems that the problem is somewhere on the system (maybe a registry setting) rather than an application problem.

Thanks for your help, i would like to get this up and running. I run media centre at the moment but i am fed up with the bugs in ii.

On the country where you chose Winter Hill, instead choose "All Region/All Channels".

If its not working in the WinFast app, then yes it might be flakey drivers or similar.

Yes Winter HIll has changed a lot recently;

The scanning frequencies for all transmitters are in C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\BDA\DVB-T and the winter hill one will need to be updated.
