Did something change in how the new release uses the channel changer plugin? I have a Direct TV satellite box and have it connected to the PC with a serial cable. With all the previous releases of GBPVR I had no problems controling the sat box. I am using a program called Direct TV control which I have in the Windows startup folder. As long as that is running in the system tray, GBPVR has always been able to use it and has always worked flawlessly. Now with the new release it does not change the channels. Each time I press the channel up or down button, or I key in a channel directly, a new instance of dtvcl.exe appears in task manager but no channel change occurs. Has anybody else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

The .exe Channel Changer hasn't changed for nearly a year. If its starting dtvcl.exe, then it sounds like its doing it's job. Does dtvcl create a log file?

Damn Sub, you're quick to reply! [Image: smile.gif]
Unfortunately the Direct TV utility does not generate a log file. If I go to a command prompt and manually enter the parameters to change the channel it switches just fine, so I know the sat box, serial cable, and DTV utility are working fine together. Don't know what happened. I'm going to try uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the old one and see if the sat box works OK again. I'll post results for you.

OK, looks like the problem is on my PC somewhere. I completely uninstalled GBPVR and deleted the directory, then installed the previous version. Still no channel changing. Now I'm going to have to look into any recent software installs and see what is causing the problem.
