I've searched all over and can't seem to find the answer.
I've got a ATI TV Wonder HD650 http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder650/PCI/index.html, I have successfully mapped my ota digital channels but now I can't figure out how to get my ota analog channels into my guide or live tv. I can view them through the crappy ATI program but not though gbpvr.
I have the digital side listed in config. Do I need to create another entry for the analog side of the card?
I have mc2xml all setup to get my epg.
Any help would really be appreciated. My wife is starting to lose interest in my little "project" Big Grin

yep, gotta setup one capture source for digital, one for analog..
[you still have ota analog channels?]
each tuner gets it's own capture source, epg source and channel list...
[imagine each tuner as a separate card]

As you said, you need to setup an additional source for the analog side of that card. When adding it go through the analog path, instead of the digital one.

Use the tuning assistant, and note down each channel's tuning (channel number).

If you have a reliable epg you can probably save yourself some extra typing, by using Update EPG (under Source config window) to populate the channel's list, and them editing the analog tuning channel, for all of them.

I hope that made sense Wink

PS.- The wiki has more info regarding hybrid/dual tuner cards, and adding sources in general:

thanks guys, this helps a alot.
How do I setup up an additional epg? When I set up the first one for the digital side it only gave me one option for OTA and that was for digital.
and to answer pBS, yes I still get some analog. I live in a small town so I only get 3 digital signals (abc, nbc, cbs) and some analog two of them are fox and pbs, I would like to get those into gbpvr.
I might be out of luck on the epg for the analog though, huh?

the epg that I have is apparently for digital only, the channel numbers stop at 31. The analog channels that I get are 33,41,49,51,53. I used the tuning assistant and got all the frequencies but I don't have any place to input them
It's times like this I realize just how little I know about computers Sad

Decide on a different name for the analog listings xml file & run mc2xml with the different file name. It should ask you for the provider for your zip code & let you specify one that would include those channels. If it doesn't, you can specify your local cable company and use the "-C xxx.chl" & "-R xxx.ren" facilities of mc2xml to limit it to the channels you want & change the channel number the cable company uses to be the channel you want to use, respectively. See mc2xml's web page for more info (http://mc2xml.110mb.com/) or ask here if you still have trouble. I've used the digital cable listings to generate five different listings: analog cable, QAM, Set Top Box (STB), DTA and Over The Air (OTA) for my system.

So I can use any epg and use it for my analog channels? Even if the channel numbers on the epg aren't the same as my analog channels? How do I assign the analog tuning info to the different channels? Thanks for all the help, I guess I need someone to hold my hand :o

If you use the -R flag, you can have mc2xml renumber the channels for you. Say your cable listing has the channel you receive as 33 listed as 15. You would create a file called something like sample.ren that contains a line "15:33", without the quotes. When you execute the line for mc2xml, include "-R sample.ren", without the quotes, in the command line. Then, when mc2xml runs, it will have that station show up in the xml file as channel 33. Have a line for each station you want to renumber in the sample.ren file.

Awesome!! Finally some progress! So I have my analog channels up an working in livetv. Now I need to fix the guide.
I've created the sample.ren file, where do I insert "-R sample.ren"? I tried adding it at the end in my "update EPG.bat" file but it didn't seem to do anything.
Also, the only text in the "sample.ren" file is:
137:33
95:41
133:51
109:53

Is that all I need? Thanks again
Ben
