You could map a few unused buttons on the remote with Hip or Eventghost or you can replace the MCE remote with a universal remote.
See the following wiki page to map the buttons - http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...pings#toc2

you can remap the keys on the mce remote...
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/MCE-nosoft

only works with mce remote tho...if you want to use another remote with mce receiver, use hip to map all the keys,,,

I dont really have enough keys on the remote to remap 4 of the permanently. Is there a way from the other end (GBPVR) to remap keys only when you're on the music library3 screen?

Would a KeyMappings file be enough?

Tonights update to ML3 should be a little more friendly for MCE remote users that don't have any coloured buttons.

- Back key (which might be Cancel or Info) acts like the Green

- Home Random All/All = Red

- Switch Switch Screen = Blue

- Yellow is hardest, you can queue or play individual songs by hitting Enter on the song. However the Best way to replace the Yellow Key is to configure "Play Button Queues" on in the config program.

Unfortunately, with the limited number of keys that aren't used on these remotes there isn't a lot you can do with the Keymappings file.
