Not sure where to post this, but here it is!

I'd tried Comskip with OTA HDTV a couple of months ago (US, CA) with really crappy results (cut early/late, very low WAF). Anyway, I tried it again yesterday and the newest version works great, with zero tuning of the default comskip.ini file, on my area OTA stations, anyway. Just a heads-up for those who have had bad results as I have in the past.

Awesome, I have just downloaded it and have tested it on a couple of files but I don't have any HD right now. (takes up too much space to keep around long.) So far it has been pretty decent even without tuning. But I have had absolutely horrible results before on HD so I look forward to checking it out.

I had to reinstall my OS and have completely lost my comskip comclean.bat that I programmed. Does anyone have a good comclean.bat file that they would be willing to email me and what would be the best program to use for comskip. I used MENCODER before because CUTTERMERAN always crashes when comverting. I don't seem to be able to get back what I had before? Need a good Postprocessing.bat and Comclean.bat file. I remember before I had to use bbdmux and demux but am getting aggrivated at my results trying to reprogram it all to work. Can anyone help?

I am just trying to skip commercials and keep the .MPG files in GBPVR so when watching in GBPVR the commercials are skipped and the file size is smaller because of the skipped commercials.

I noticed during processing while the the show is being recorded that a file is created with skip points. But the actual file has the commercials in it. If you uncheck the run during recording under processing does it remove the commercials from the actual file?

It never removes the commericals. It just creates a file with the skip points, and GB-PVR will automatically jump the adverst on playback.

This way if comskip gets it wrong, you can still jump back and watch the bit incorrectly marked as an advert. Comskip can be quite good, but it's definitely not perfect at identifying ads.

I noticed in your signature that you are running comskip on an Atom 330 based system. Could you give me any information on the performance of comskip on this system? How long to process a 1 hour show (typically around 7-8 GB)? I'm hoping to create a GbPvr server based on this processor and checking to make sure it will do everything I want it to.
