I just purchased a TV tuner card and am a total novice to alot of the terminology so please bear with me.

I am not happy with MS MCE and ATI medi center is worse.

My setup:
Windows 7 64bit
8800GTS
4Gb ram
ATI TV Wonder HD 600 Hybrid
GB-PVR vs 1.4.7
I have the channel guide working with Schedules Direct but LIve TV isn't displaying. Alot of changes back I was able to view TV in the TunningAssistant, but that has changed and now all I get is a blank screen. I was never able to view TV in GB-PVR. I have tried all or almost all of the selections under the Play back section. I setup the capture source as per the direction where I found to setup the TV guide. Under the TunningAssistan I was able to watch prior to changes using ATI 550 and All-in-Wonder Elite. Both found all the channels. I am attaching the logs.

Thank you for any help. This program so far looks exactly what I need to watch my recorded TV over my network.

I doubt that that devicehas the hardware encoder required for GBPVR but you should be able to use the digital side of the device. Run Filtercheck.exe and zip and post the resulting filtercheck.log file.

which drivers are you using?
i'm using the 750 drivers for win7 on a 650 and they should cover this model also..
they're new so i'd expect the 64bit ver is a bit finicky still..
[not WHQL certified yet]
[funny cuz the 750 doesn't exist for sale yet, but they have win7 drivers online for it?! and not any of the other existing products?! goofs..]

they should allow you to use the 650 digital side...just check 'only show devices detected in this machine' and pick the highest one..

The logs are attached in first post.

What I don't understand is being able to see all channels in the Tuner Assistant originally, but once I setup as per "Initial Setup Guide - Analogue Tuner" it stopped working.

Are you saying that if I setup as a Digital, I will be able to tune analog? I only have analog cable.

The drivers I am using where included with it, and the update utility from ATI says its updated.

I figured the drivers where fine if TuningAssistant worked.

Just did the show only installed, I get ATI 550,650 and Elite. Have tried all 3 and when I choose "Watch Live" it just resets back to "Watch live".

Thanks for the help.

Does GB-PVR require a hardware MPEG-2 decoder? I am able in MCE to watch live and record another with currently installed drivers.

Here is a link to the specs: http://www.amd.com/us/products/pctv/tv-w...atrix.aspx

It is the HD 600 PCIe.

Thanks again.

Noob question, where would those settings be changed? In the config I don't have the Hauppauge listed that I can see. or maybe I am over looking something.

Thanks for all the help.

They don't include a filtercheck log. You have to run filtercheck manually. I wanted it to double check the filter names for that device.

No, you would only be able to tune channels that are being broadcast digitally and unencrypted. For most, this is the just the locals but you can check which channels you would receive digitally by entering your zip at http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/channels_us then selecting your cable provider from the dropdown.

I ran the filtercheck and grabbed all the files in the Logs folder. Is the filtercheck.log in another location?

When i get home I will check the SAF.

Thanks again for all the help.
