I am running Windows XP SP3
I have and HDHomeRun Box - Setup Version 20090305a
I have installed GB-PVR 1.4.7

At first the program wasn't detecting the HDHomeRun boxes, but after editing the config and entering my box numbers, that went smoother.

HOWEVER, when I click to update the DVB EPG, no channels are found.
I get "No Channels Found".
I have almost full bar signal strength in TotalMedia, and I'm able to watch broadcasts over the air on VLC.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 1.31. That version just crashed.
I figured I might as well try and get the latest and greatest up and going.

This "Seems" to be a popular problem, but I have yet to find a definite solution.
I am new to this, and it appears that this isn't your old "easy setup".

Any help would be much appreciated. This program looks to have a ton of potential if I can get it running.

There is no DVB EPG for the US. You need to use Schedules Direct or an XMLTV file for you EPG. You can also set up manual channels but you will not have an EPG for them.

I had the same problem, but it turned out to be the firewall that generated problems while scanning for channels. Once I disabled the firewall I was able to find all my channels.

I don't know about the EPG information in the US. Personally I use an XMLTV file for the EPG - it works Smile

I am new to all this.... I just signed up for schedules direct, and notice its a membership required system after 7 days. I would prefer to save $$ if possible.

Is there an easy way to generate an XMLTV file?

I did try to set up a manual channel, but I can honestly say I have no idea what I was really doing.

Also. I have a virus program, no firewall. I did turn off my protection while trying all the above steps with no luck.

Thanks for the fast responses!

A popular xmltv utility for free listings is mc2xml http://mc2xml.110mb.com/

I have run mc2xml. Generated and xml file.
I changes my settings to VMLTV Plugin for both my tuners.
Several channels now show in the list below.

Again, it scan and find nothing.
Virus scan is still off. What am I doing wrong?

Zip and post your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log showing a scan.

You have selected "HDHomeRun Tuner #1" as your digital device. That entry is for sub's DVB-T HDHomeRun. If you check the box that says "Show only installed devices" it should show the entries for your device. Alternatively, they should be the last devices listed in the full list.

Ok. I delete both capture sources. I then reentered them. This time selecting "only devices on this machine".

That option yelled at me before, so I didn't click it when I set these up.

This time, the HDHomeRun #1 and #2 showed up no problem (and where the only two in the list).

I again mapped the XMLTV to the list I produced and many channels populated the list. I also disabled my anti-virus before selecting.

AGAIN. No Channels Found.

Here are the files from this run.
When I set up the second HDHomeRun unit should I list it as "device # 2"? Default is 1.

I have tried both ways with no luck.

Again, thanks for your patience.... I'm stumped.
