no sound on some channels....

Hi all,

Have had to stop using timeshift mode sadly, now using live preview mode but am finding that half my UK channels dont have sound.

For example,BBC 1,BBC2,ITV1 all have sound - but channel 4 does not. Other channels have not sound either.

Have tried different audio settings including the MPA but nothing gets the sound back from those certain channels.

Strange thing is though, if I pause then unpause the sound appears on the channel.

Confusing and I would appreciate any help.

I can think of a reason it might happen.

If you can use live preview to watch a channel that gives no audio, then pause to switch to timeshift mode, then post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

If I messed up the logs I just posted here is the problem demonstrated properly. No audio in live preview then paused and unpaused at 21:14.

I can see in your logs that the channel mapping is incorrect (specifically the audio PID). This PID value is critical for live preview mode, but not needed when recording.

Well, the config.exe fixed the broken audio2 on the channels I was having a problem with, but unfortunately it seems it created the problem on others so I was back to square one.

Just wanted anyone who reads this to find a quicker way to solve the problem by refering to this great post...
