Hi,

How do I add these two channels on there own?

I don't want all the other freesat channels as I can use my other freeview card for them and get all the EPG.

I just can't seem to find a way of adding single channels in GB-PVR.

Any ideas?

The channels that GBPVR "manages" (i.e. appear in Guide) is dictated by the channels that are listed in the EPG input. For example, I have used DVB broadcast EPG for Freeview and that includes all channels so all channels were in the Guide.

Now I use XMLTV input and have the XMLTV grabber software set to only list channels that I might be interested in (e.g. no shopping channels).

Have you tried this ...

http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/

to create an XMLTV file that you set as your EPG input on the Capture Sources tab for your satellite card?

ok thats a useful link but how do I get BBC HD and ITV HD into GB-PVR in the first place?

It didn't seem to find many channels, like it found BBC Wales but didn't Find my BBC East channels.

You could either create the source and add the two channels manually, or do a scan and "untick" the channels you don't want in the source setup.
Getting an EPG for them is not as easy as Freeview though.

In config.exe - capture sources, (presumably you have already configured your satellite tuner), there is a button "add" just add your two channels, go to map channels, let it scan or use an existing scan and then map yoru two manually added channels to the tuning data that was scanned.
The above will give you two extra stations in the main epg, but no show data, this would probably be best dragged from the Radio Times with birtles xmltv grabber. (which is what I do).

yeh been fiddling with what you describe. Still cannot get them to work, it also seems my problem maybe deeper.

GB-PVR doesn't scan all the Freesat channels.

I have a HVR-3000 card, any ideas? No issues in DVBviewer or MCE win7 (except no sound on ITVHD)

Try editing the cache file in gbpvr\BDA (the name varies depending on the order sources are created) with these two entries and map them without doing a scan.

Code:

ok added that now get no video in BBC HD, just audio. Nothing on either front for ITV HD.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: Now says that there isn't enough singal strength on BBC HD, now no audio and video.

ITV HD is a blank screen.

When I fire up DVBViewer all is working!!! Wierd!

I am guessing ... it is recommended to select specific decoders on the playback tab ... using System Default often results in problems.

You should have values set for Video Decoder, Audio Decoder and H.264 Decoder at the least.
