Hi!

I have a MSI TV@nywhere Satellite II DVB-S2 card.
I followed the installation guide I found in this forum (from Systemshark), but I can't get it to work.

In the configuration I checked the box "Only show de ices detected in this machine", there I can select the Twinhan AD-SP300 and the Technisat SkyStar HD2 Card.

I have a Diseqc Switch with the satellite Astra (19.2) on SimpleA and Hotbird (13.0) on SimpleB.

At the end I press "EPG mapping", but then I get an error:
"GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use."


Then I tried to make a new entry in the BDS.ini:

(in the FILTER_CAPTURE Section ist a spelling mistake, but the entry in Graphedit "BDA REceiver Components" shows exactly that spelling! Obviously a mistake in the driver...)

With that setting I get the new card "eigene Karte". Wehn I set it up and press EPG mapping, the error ist gone. The scan runs, but nothing is found (0% signal and 0% quality).

Maybe I have the wrong settings in the LNB part? I can't find the Hotbird and for Astra there are several entries. (Would be helpful if the position was in the list as well.)

Could anyone help me by giving a hint? Do you need the filterlog?

I couldn't get mediaportal to work as well (always "couldn't start graph").

btw: The Satellite Card works with the program supplied by the manufacturer.

Unfortunately, but there is no support for either diseqc or DVB-S2 with this device. Each manufacturer does these things using their own proprietary mechanisms and private APIs.

With this device you'd pretty much need to remove the diseqc switch, then you'd be able to get the DVB-S channels, but not the DVB-S2 channels.

GB-PVR supports DVB-S2 and diseqc with other cards like Hauppauge HVR-4000/4400 etc.

But now I wonder if the recommended cards in the wiki all work with S2 and Diseqc?

The Hauppauge HVR is a hybrid card, where I live we only have DVB-S, no terrestrial etc.

How about the Hauppauge Nova-S cards? Any recommendations?
