Can't record a program that's already started.

When trying either a Quick Record or scheduled recording on a show that has already started, I get this message:

Also, does Ctrl-R not start recording a show that you're watching live? Doesn't work for me but maybe it's too early for this function.

Well, I'm not sure what happened or is happening. It looks like it is recording and each time I got the error, it looks like it recorded via Quick Record anyway. Look how many times it's recording.
