I have been working with it some more. How do you add favorite channels? I see the favorite hidden button and it does not do anything, neither does the edit one. Also, cntrl K does not do it either.

Thanks for coming here Basically, I haven't figured out the best way to do this with the new slimmed down look. I was going to add a button but the new hidden top buttons make adding a lot of choice difficult, and I am look for feedback.

If you have installed the Add Ons, from the user DataDirectory copy UserMenu-org.xml to UserMenu.xml and edit out what you don't want. There are sample in there showing how to add some of the optional components,

- link Web Radio favourites
- link GBPVR Net Radio favourites
- link to an online web site where you can store favourites if you run on multiple networks
- link to an m3u list of station

The file you want to edit by default is DataDirectory\Plugins\WebRadio\MyRadioStations.xml if you want another name specify it in MenuFile tag.

You can really make as many groups as you want, and you can also add stations directly to any menu if you are interested.

Unfortunately there is no editor currently. MixMan's editor is hard coded to GBPVR structure, so I though I'd see the power sub gives plugins for Windows-based editing rather than doing it with the limitations of plugin. I was going to link to notepad but I decided against it.

I have updated but haven't had a chance to test the 10 last stations update yet.

But I have just had a private message asking about the "Favorites" button at the top & I am fairly sure it doesn't do anything at the moment, right?
While I am discussing favorites I went to add a shoutcast station to my GB favorites the other day & couldn't find a link to the .pls file on the shoutcast sight any more so had to butcher a .pls together using the info from the lastplayed out of WR3, so if it wasn't just me not being able to find the link to the .pls some way of adding a favorite is going to be a must have sometime soon....in my opinion that is of coarse.

Favourites should already be saved but you will have to follow this thread on how to enable the ones you want. http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...-favorites

Ummm err I have already enabled usermenu & move stuff around to my liking etc. & you say favorites should already be saved what do you mean? If you are referring to the ones I already have for GB that's fine they show up & I can use them without a problem, I was talking about adding new ones now is a problem.

Please compress and upload your logs when you try and save and then open the Favourites. It should be working.

Can you explain where the confusion was? I'm working on the config part of the plugin and I want to make this process a little easier to figure out.

It's a bit hard to explain & I know ACTCMS is also finding it confusing but even with my prompting hasn't posted a message "yet" maybe he can explain better than me.

I think the number of items in the main list makes it confusing & I wasn't expecting it to go into MyRadioStations.xml when I selected the hidden menu item "Favorite" even though "My Radio Favourites" is a logical place for it to go, I think the fact it is (was for me) way down the list was one of the reasons I missed it, I still feel some way for the user to (typing as I think here so may be total rubbish) put menu items into sub menus so they can have only the things they use (or want) showing most of the time but if they want to go try say Mike's Radio they can go to this menu & open it & then it shows the list of items they have put in there & from this list they can then select it. Or something like that.....sorry I can't be clearer.

Jaggy perhaps you and ACTCMS are missing that the Web Radio menus were really designed to be customized (skinnable if you will). RadioStation.xml is just an example of how to load any of the main stations, and UserMenu shows some of the less common settings.

Through WebRadio.xml it really sounds like you should be pointing to a custom "Station" file were you can pick and choose what you want to see. You certainly can go with a short list with sub-menus as deep as you'd like. You can also set what you want to see as the Title, only Type and MenuFile are important for me. Also if you don't like the file name MyRadioStation.xml you change that in WebRadio.xml too.

Maybe you both were missing My Radio Favourites because of the row limits in BlueRetro? It is visible on Default on the first menu.
