Sub, haven't tried the .90 series yet, but will probably try this coming weekend. Question I have is, that I have noticed that even though the following lines are specified in the ini file for .2313:

AudioSampleRate=48000
AudioChannels=2
AudioSampleBits=16

That the AudioSampleRate in the recorded file is actually 32000 instead of 48000. It doesn't currently seem to honor the audio sample rate request. This is with a Life View Walker Ultra (basically a Walker MINI).

Is this fixed in the .9010 release?

I didnt specifically examine audio bitrates, but I did fix an initialization problem that was stopping some settings from being passed to GO7007SB setup functions. I was specifically think about video, but it may have corrected this audio problem at the same time.

If you find its not working, let me know and I'll fix it.

KingArgyle, as a fellow owner of a Walker(Mini), I can tell you that you MUST try the new version.... It seems like it works 10 times better than previous versions when used with the Walker. I'm still having problems with stuttering video and loss of channel changing, as others are, but when it is not stuttering and the channels change, it works awesome... Please report back your experiences, as I am curious if you are experiencing the same problems that I am....

Sub,

Still have the audio problem. It doesn't appear that an audio stream is being added to the recorded file. When I bring the file up in Zoomplayer, and take a look at the Graph. When it reaches AVI Splitter in the graph, only Stream0 has anything in it. Stream01 which should contain the audio has nothing.

I brought up a file recorded with the TV Software that comes with the Life View Walker Ultra and it has an MPEG-Layer 3 stream on Stream01, and the Divx stream on Stream00.

When recording to an MPEG-2 format, everything is working perfectly. GB-Parser shows an MPEG-2 Video Stream on 0 and an Mpeg Audio stream on 1.

I haven't tried the new NativeUtilities you posted, yet, but will try it and let you know.

On the bright side, the Bit rates are now correct. No HUGE Divx files, just need to get the audio working.

Did you install the software that came with your TV Walker? The audio portion of the recording relies on finding either the "InterVideo Audio Encoder" or the "HT MPEG1 Audio Encoder" filter on your machine.

Yeah the "HT MPEG1 Audio Encoder" is on there. It's just when recording in a DIVX MPEG-4 format that I'm running into the problem. When recording to MPEG-2 format, it works fine. I'm assuming you are using the same Audio Encoder for MPEG-4 Divx as you would for MPEG-2.

Graphedit shows it being installed in the DirectShow Filters. It also shows the Intervideo Audio Encoder as being available as well.

Do you get any error messages in gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-native.log?

Nope nothing out of the ordinary. Here is one that just completed, and this is using the NativeUtilities.dll from 2/18/2005.

If you run the tv walker application first, before recording, does it record sound correctly?
