You need to install some filter driver for analog devices to work:

i fully understand that, but i'm not finding great luck for the filter driver. perhaps i'm not grasping it fully, but everything ive found had no guides in how to find the software(s).

It is a bit of a pain. The missing software comes with Hauppauge's wintv7 - however this didn't come with PVR150's. You can download wintv7 but it won't install as it needs a previous wintv and I don't think the one with PVR150s is supported as an upgrade. A catch-22 situation.

Drop me a PM with an email address Smile

If you have your original PVR 150 disc, you can go to the hauppauge site and dl the wintv 7 software for free. You then install the softpvr from the download. It will ask you for your original disk though. Otherwise PM martint123. You will need to register the filter if you don't use the wintv install.

I couldn't get wintv to accept my old PVR150 CD as a starter fonr wintv7, fortuanately I had a USB version from much later and that was ok.

I just downloaded wintv7_cd_1.3e.exe from the Hauppauge website and used an unpacker (Uniextract) to unpack it to get at the required file.
