No audio track on ATSC HD channels when streaming

Have finally installed and configured EWA, correctly I think. When I play recorded shows or stream channels from an analog tuner (STB on svideo) everything works fine, but when I try to stream ATSC HD channels I get video but no audio. In the VLC window, I can click on "Video" and see all of the settings but when I click on "Audio" everything is greyed out telling me (I think) that no audio stream is being sent.

I've tried different configurations in the streaming "Transcode Opt" area, but am not getting anywhere. Any ideas where I should look next? Thanks. BTW, this is still only on a LAN not over the net.

Have you verified the file plays natively in VLC.....i.e. open the file with VLC and see if it plays? What mux is your recording.... .mpg .ts or something else?

Recorded files play fine either when streamed or if I open them directly with VLC. I've tried the ts mux, cyberlink mux, ati mpeg mux, and dvr-ms mux with no difference in the lost audio track. Do the decoder settings on the host PC have anything to do with the client? On the host PC, I'm using ffdshow as the mpeg audio decoder and AC3 filter for the AC3 decoder. Thanks again

I went ahead and installed the AC3 filter on the client machine and now I have audio. I'm not sure why this worked though as I was under the impression that VLC used its own set of decoders, but what the heck it works!
