I often use the TV-guide to change channels. ATM if you click enter on a program, the first alternativ is "Close", I would like an option that gives me the ability to set "Watch" as default.

BTW, incase you didnt know - you can press the play button on the remote (or ctrl-k key) on a show in the TV Guide to watch that show, without having to click enter etc.

Caught ya Big GrinBig Grin - I thought ctrl-k was 'record' and it didn't go into play for me. From the wiki, ctrl-p is the keyboard play combination.

I too think that "Watch" or "Play" would make more sense as the default choice for tv programs and recordings. It's intuitive to hit "ok" on the remote to select an item, and to hit "ok" again to watch it. we instinctively use the 'Back' button if we don't want to watch the selected item already.

Yep, I'd also vote in favour of a change to "Watch" being the default option. I'll always hit Exit/Back on my remote to close popups anyway, so I'm quite happy for "Close" to move to the lowest priority position in the list.

I'm afraid I prefer it the other way. I get fed up of accidentally (or iffy remote) getting two 'enters' from the TV guide and nothing happening (while ?-PVR goes off to tune in a station, which can take a few moments for an HD channel) because nothing happens, I press up or down to see if the cursor is moving on the screen menu, but in fact it has gone off to change channels (slowly)

I also prefer it the way it is now for the same reason as matint123..............the amount of times I have entered the Systems screen in GB-PVR & done an involuntary EPG update, which takes ages..............

Status quo for me. This is one sub's list that will allow reverse scrolling so cursor back->Watch is not bad at all.

I'll second that.

Yeah, I'd settle for the reverse list too as that's how it works in GBPVR and I'm happy enough with the menu there.
