Hi

I have just added a second sound card to my PC so that I can get GBPVR to output to my TV while having normal sound on my PC. I am using the ffdshow Audio Decoder and have changed the Audio Renderer from "Default DirectSound Device" to "DirectSound: Speakers...".

This works for everything except recordings, they are using the .TS format and always play the audio on the default audio output.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks
Roger

i would check logs to be sure it's actually using ffdshow to play back recordings...
and possibly set ffdshow' merit to highest...

inside ffdshow, on directshow tab i think, you can set the merit...crank up to highest..
i'm not that good with npvr logs yet but i think the npvr.exe log...
search them all for ffdshow..

Thanks for your help. I've just finished reinstalling my PC and the .TS files are playing using ffdshow, along with .mp4 files etc. However the audio for the .TS files is ignoring the sound card setting and only playing on the default speakers. Any idea why? ffdshow is correctly playing all the other audio on the second sound card.

It was probably a bug in GBPVR. Unfortunately GBPVR is no longer being maintained though. I'm fairly sure NPVR does not have this problem though.

Thanks. Any idea where the setting for different sound cards in NPVR is? I had a look but couldn't find it.

Right click on the Window, choose Settings, select Decoders. The Audio Renderer can be used to output to different sound devices.

Thanks. I've just checked and it only has one option listed which is default. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Ah, right you are. I'll fix it for the next build.
