Can't view channels in config

I have comcast cable and it's the time of the month to move channels around so I'm attempting to rescan and reset channels. My first rescan found channels but I couldn't select them in the dropdown list nest to the channel so I tried okaying my way out but then I couldn't get back to the mapping screen, config would just stop responding. I then deleted the scan cache for all my devices and left the app run a scan which worked but now when I try to view a channel in the mapping screen I get an active movie screen which pops up and when I x out of it I can get sound but no picture in the mapping pane.

An active movie window usually relates to a bad set of decoders.

Could an adobe flash player update or adding the TV Guide plugin cause this? I can't think of any other changes to my system since the last time I ran a scan. I can't get into the map channels part of config for any of my cards now, config just keeps hanging.

If you reproduce the problem and post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log, I'll take a look.

It is having some problems with decoders on the machine, but not clear exactly why.

Unfortunately I'm not really sure what to suggest. It might be worth trying NPVR. It has much better scanning and decoder control.

Thanks for trying, I may try deleteing my capture sources and see if it helps. I use dvrms mux so comskip will work and without direct schedules direct support I'm lost, I just don't know how to write bat files to make npvr run MCXML to fill the guide.

Its worth noting that long time comskip+ts complainers like Johnsonx42 are now reporting comskip is working every bit as well with .ts files in NPVR as it was with .dvr-ms in GBPVR, after patches I provide a few days ago.
