I had to move my xmltv file location. I can't find a way to remap the channels to this new path. I only can do them one at a time which is a real pain with almost 100 channels.

BTW, if you select a group of channels in the config and right click you get an option to merge them. What is this for?

There isnt an easy option for this at this stage. I'll probably add something in the future though.

If you have the same channel on two different sources (like BBC1 via DVB-S and DVB-T), and would rather they were only listed once in the tv guide, and either could be used for scheduled recordings on that channel, then you can right click on both and select 'merge'

A question about the merge function: let's say I have the same channel on two different frequencies on the SAME source (I do actually, I just currently have the alternates disabled). Would NPVR let me merge them and react properly to that? How would it determine priority among the different versions of the same channel? Would it be the order they were selected in, or the order of the physical frequencies, or something else?

When you ask for a channel, it works its way down the capture source list looking for an available one that has that channel. (ie, pretty much the same as GBPVR when multiple capture sources have the same channel)

You'll see the channels when you go into the settings for the capture source.

Right, but notice I asked about merging channels on the SAME capture source. Would that work, and then how does priority work?

I'v also found this function a PITA, it is in fact easyer to use the details menue because using that npvr finds the corresponding channel automatically in the xmltv file.

Can you please cahnge the Bulk function to auto-search for the matching channel in the xmltv file, and also if I select more than one channel?

Sub will probably disapprove, but for a one off (like when I have just moved npvr from my test machine to the real system and the xml file changed drives, I exported the database, did a search and replace and re-imported it (using firefox plugin sqlite manager). It is probably easier and quicker to use SQL commands directly, but my skills at present don't extend that far.

I know, but because of bugs and testing I often have to start with a new databeas, and mapping more that 50 channels is a pain, especially with bulk because I have to browse more than 200 channels for each channel to find the right one.

I worked around it by deleting all the channels at the device screen and reimported them. At that time you can select a global xmltv file. This was for analog channels. I am not sure what would work for digital ones.

No unfortunately it doesn't, because you don't import digital channels, you scan for then and by default they get DVB/ATSC as epg source. Mostly that works well, but with one munute scan time for each, 60 channels takes an hour to update...
