I have noticed that most of the links I save or want to use as cross-link have two slashes now ie.

http://forums.gbpvr.com//index.php

Is this correct?

Don't ask why, but I've tried your link with between 1 and 10 slashes  and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

It's not my link, it's most of the links on the forum if you hover your mouse over them.

The wiki link still shows a single slash.

that should only cause problem if a link is in a subdirectory..eg. http://forums.gbpvr.com//subdir//index.php
but i can't find any that are that way...
[http://Domain//file.ext always works fine cuz the // will always go to root of domain, which is still correct for these links]
the first dir slash can have as many as you want, it's the ones after that, that will also send it back to root, ignoring the subdirectory..
[http://Domain//subdir//file.ext = http://Domain//file.ext]

this one has only 1 slash, maybe the main root name is adding a slash? [http://www.gbpvr.com/]
