Hope you can help. I am just trying NPVR. Looks good so far but doesnt have all the bells and whistles of GBPVR as yet (plugins etc).

My first problem is that menu clicks (using mouse and keyboard) are ok but same functions with Haupauge 45 button remote takes about 10 seconds a click.

Is this some problem in the configuration in the Windows IRconfig file?

It is too slow for usefulness at the moment as it stands.

Any suggested fixes?

It'll be some problem outside of NPVR. From NPVR's perspective, the remote just looks like someone pressing keys on the keyboard. If the real keyboard works fine, then NPVR is doing it's thing correctly, and your slow response problem is most likely a results of your IR software being slow. (maybe try changing the batteries in your remote though)

Thanks. I have 2 remotes both work the same.

I agree it is probably not a nPVR problem. Seems to take a while sorting codes from the table in config. Maybe ther is too much redundant stuff in the config file?

Are you talking about the irremote.ini file? I havnt used this in a couple of years. From memory, I never saw it being slow. I'm pretty sure you shouldnt have to remove stuff to speed it up.

I dont know - but that doesnt make any sense. Both apps just see it as keystrokes, so should behave exactly the same as when you use the keyboard.

the new programme is beautiful - i will have to sort this issue somehow.
Also I use music Library 2 in GBPVR - as it is driven by its own database my 32000 files (dont ask) are easy to find. Cant scroll through them all as it is!
I use screensaver plugin also - it does my photos full screan. The nPVR one cant do that i think at the moment.

Ill stick with GBPVR at the moment, keep trying, and will watch this space

Thanks for your time.
