Just got a new TV (40" Sony) I see that the screen saver doesn't cover the right and bottom edges completely. How do I fix?

I posted about a similar issue in GBPVR (not NPVR) some time ago;
http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...el+mapping
Is your problem similar, with one line of missing pixels at the bottom and right?
I never did find a solution - I think many users use some overscan so would not see it?

try setting the 'alternate pixel center' setting in ati control panel...it's supposed to fix this..
[not sure if it's in latest drivers tho]
i cant find it in latest drivers...pretty sure it has to do with interface between tv and video card...maybe try manually giving it some overscan in monitor adjustments?
are those plasmas?

I use an Nvidia card, and don't think there is an alternate pixel setting. I never did find a solution and would not want to use overscan, as that seems counter intuitive when using 1:1 pixel mapping (or exact scan) - if the video is 1080p and is mapped 1:1 on the 1920x1080 pixel grid of a HD LCD, having even a tiny bit of overscan would seem undesirable. As soon as I started using exact scan (and removed the default overscan in GBPVR) the missing line bottom and right was exposed - but only on photos, never video, which is weird!
Both my PC's now output 1080p always - i.e. I leave the video card to sort out interlaced video and upscale lower resolutions to the native TV resolution of 1080p

Right, had to take a crappy photo. Everytime i touched the keyboard, the screen saver quit.
Will be etting a replacement OS drive so don't work too hard on this problem as It might not occur with a fresh os install etc.
Anyway, you can see that the black screen saver is off a bit an doesn't cover bottom and right.

Odd. I've not seen anything like that here.

Is that with a PC connected directly to the TV, or via a PopcornHour?

I suspect it something to do with your videocard and the way its displaying direct3d textures on the screen, otherwise everyone would have the same problem.
