Using NPVR 1.5.36, with the second patch in [thread=48803]this thread[/thread] that fixed skipping (although I think it happened before that patch too), When a second recording starts (using the two tuners of a HDHomeRun), about a minute into it, all recording ceases until the recording service restarts.

In the case that I'm attaching the log for, I have one recording starting at 18:30, and one starting at 19:00. Both recorded until 18:01 and then stopped (so I have a 31 minute file for the first recording and a 1 minute file for the second, both of which play fine, and are just... short).

If I restart the recording service (still during the time that both should be recording, then I get roughly an additional minute of recording before they break again. That log is also attached, although it includes at the end me actually stopping the service.

I don't see any errors in the log, it just... no longer records, and anything scheduled won't record until after I restart the service. Thank you for any help you can give.

I'm having the same issue although my recordings are for less than 1 second. Any have you found any solution?

No, although I've disabled the second HDHomeRun tuner so that my shows will keep on recording at least, even if the second one in a time slot doesn't record. And if I'm paying attention, I can use the HDHomeRun Setup utility to watch the second show live. But that's not really a solution, no.

Are you also using a HDHomeRun for your tuner?

And for what it's worth, I've also got a WinTV-HVR-1600 in this box, but it's currently not hooked up to cable. But I can't seem to disable the Analog tuner card in the Settings window, either. Hmm.

But it's nice to know I'm not alone.

I am using the HDHomeRun.

I really like NPVR, but if I can't get both tuners to work during simultaneous recording, I'm going to have to go with something else. That is a show stopper for me.

I'm pretty sure it worked with 1.5.33, but I'm not sure I tried it often. Skipping and resuming and some other things work so much better in the new version that I don't want to go back, but maybe an older version will work better for you until sub can figure out the problem.

Known bug, mostly cosmetic... if you have no analog channels defined, it will never attempt to use it.

@fleapower: just to clarify, if you use just one tuner of your HDHR is everything ok, it's only when you try to use the 2nd tuner that it crashes?

That's correct. No problems with one tuner since install. Simultaneous recording always fails.

My wife is doing some work this morning on the computer we use to record, but as soon as she is done, I'll set up a dual record and post the logs after it fails.

Ah, but I do have analog channels defined. The not being hooked up to cable is a temporary state that I plan to fix in the next couple days as I move things around more. But it's lowest priority, and I'm not recording anything that's only on Analog.

But maybe I'll hurry up getting it hooked up so I can test 1 HDHomeRun tuned and the HVR-1600 digital tuned at the same time.
