I wish there was a "NMT Tray Icon" plugin for nPVR with similar function as the MVPTrayIcon for GBPVR. Having now switched to nPVR, I miss being able to see the status of the NMTs.

Also miss the nPVR tray icon indicating the recording status.
What, me worry?

sub took that functionality out because it was causing high cpu utilization and other weird problems (among the strangest for me was severe clock drift). I suppose it's probably on his list to get back to once the big stuff is sorted.

The only thing that was taken out of the tray was the signal strength/quality info.

Actually, and correct me if I am wrong Roy, the MVPTray Icon did more functionality than this? 'twas quite functional ??? But was a cleverly worked plugin? Steeb

I have no idea what MVPTray did. I never saw it. My reply wasnt about MVPTray. Instead, my comments addressed the post directly above mine that indicated I'd removed a larger amount from the NPVR tray app in this release. Instead I'd only removed a small bit of functionality that reported the signal strength and quality.

MVPTrayIcon only indicated the status of an MVP server (off, on, playing) and mouseover tip showed what was playing. Nothing more that I am aware of or desire. You may be thinking of the Slimm icon, which I tried I think, but did not use.

No Roy, you are right but pulled my thoughts back together Big Grin

MVP tray Icon used to show status of all devices in a simple way. Used Slimm but not for long. These would be nice touches with NPVR, how are your programming skills Big Grin. Actually I don't think Iain (Imilne) is far off having something like that anyway. Iain Big Grin Hmmm blubber etc from a wretch

I've been using the MVP TrayIcon.dll with GBPVR for a few years and love it. I think that the author is no longer around though, so it doesn't have any support. Sad I have mine setup with custom names, using the MAC address of each MVP, so I can quickly see the status of each of my MVP's, what room they are in and if they are currently displaying a show, playing net radio, etc. It's awesome for letting me make certain that none of the MVP's are in use before a server reboot. Rebooting in the middle of a favorite show doesn't have a positive impact on the WAF. Wink

Roy, in an ideal world would this tray icon be totally separate from NPVR Device Status Icon? i.e. different icon?

The pending recordings is still not present in npvr tray app, I'v never seen anything about signal strength there??
