How do I select AC3 as the default track for TV3?

Everytime I playback a TV3 recording, it wants to use HE-AAC. How can I get it to default to AC3?

I was going to make a wish about the same, when watching Nat.Geo HD I'd rather get AC3 5.1 sound than MPEG1 2.0 which is the default...

There is a registry setting to tell it to prefer AC3 audio, but I'm not home to lookup exactly what it is called.

This must be the one:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\PreferAC3=1 (DWORD)

I've tried it, and it does go to AC3 but I do notice sound sync issues. Also sound drops out, and when I pause and then resume the recording, sometimes it doesn't resume or it goes to HE-AAC and then AC3. Not at home right now, but will attach logs tonight if that would help.

Using AC3Filter which is working fine in PVRX2 1.4.7. Suggestions for another decoder?

I use AC3Filter myself, and that seems to be the standard around here, so I don't guess I have another suggestion. I know ffdshow will decode AC3, so I guess you could try that. Maybe there's still a problem with the 'preferAC3' option, which will have to wait for sub.

Yeah, I did try fddshow but it didn't make any difference. In NPVR how do a get the graphs to be saved (and where is it saved) so that I can actually see what is being used in GraphEdit... just to make sure my selections are what is actually being used?

I don't think NPVR saves the lastgraph like GB-PVR did (if told), but I think sub did make it so you could connect to the running graph using graphedit (the connect to remote graph function). I've never tried it though.

hasso: Do you have problems with ALL recordings or just a few? I'v tried it here and it seems to work fine, but I do occationally get recordings with lipsync problems (even before the Prefer patch).
